TED SUMERS COGNITIVE SCIENTIST

I'm currently a graduate student advised by Tom Griffiths in the Computational Cognitive Science lab at Princeton, supported by a NDSEG fellowship.

My research focuses on human communication. Theoretically, I'm interested in social cognition and concept transmission. I believe advances in these areas will enable systems that can interact fluently with humans.

Previously, I was a data scientist and engineering manager at Automatic Labs (2013-2014) and Uber (2014-2019). I primarily worked on signal processing and machine learning on sensor data.
